Pallav Shukla is a partner in Trilegal’s New Delhi office and part of the Dispute Resolution practice group and the Artwork Advisory group. Pallav’s practice is multi-portfolio and he focuses on white-collar criminal defence, internal investigations, high stakes employment disputes, artwork advisory and contentious intellectual property infringement cases.

Pallav is regularly instructed to pursue civil and criminal remedies for IPR infringement, breach of confidentiality / data theft, and financial and cyber-crimes.

As part of this portfolio, Pallav advises a wide network on high net worth families and individuals, private collectors and leading galleries with purchase and in auction of art works. Pallav has advised on acquisition and auction related disputes over several highly valuable and well-regarded artworks in India. He also has significant experience with cross-border disputes arising from commercial transactions in art.

Pallav regularly acts for Saffronart – one of India’s most prominent art auctioneers and galleries, on legal issues in highly sought after auctions and sale. He has advised galleries, collectors and sellers on navigating local laws on acquisition, sale, registration and preservation of ‘antiquities’ / national treasure. Pallav has, both, pursued and defended civil and criminal remedies in relation to artworks of prominent Indian artists such as Raja Ravi Varma, KK Hebbar, F. N. Souza to name a few.
